Thomas Pogge wins Gregory Kavka Prize

Professor Thomas Pogge, from the ANU Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics, has been awarded the Gregory Kavka Prize.
Professor Pogge's paper, "Are We Violating the Human Rights of the World’s Poor?,” published in Yale Human Rights and Development Law Journal in 2011, won the Political Philosophy prize, which is offered by the American Philosophical Association.
This paper will now be the subject of a symposium that the Association is hosting in San Francisco in March 2013.
The Gregory Kavka Prize is awarded every two years, and is among the highest distinctions within the area of Political Philosophy.
